Purpose of the grant
To provide funding to public schools creating facilities to support students and staff cycling to school.
These can include things such as
- bike racks,
- roofs over bike storage,
- lockers,
- showers for teachers,
- path and fencing changes, etc.
Eligibility
Public schools (primary and high school) within the local government areas covered by BIKEast (Bayside, Randwick, Woollahra and Waverley).
Amount available
Up to $1,500 is available. The funds can be used alone or in combination with funding raised from other sources.
Timeline
Applications Open: Wed 2 October 2024
Applications Close: Mon 2 December 2024
Outcome Announced: By Tuesday 11 February 2025
Funds distributed: By end of February 2025
