BIKEast are a volunteer group that advocate for better bicycle facilities in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs!
We believe that providing and maintaining open and accessible space for the community is very important. We firmly believe in the environmental, health and social benefits of active transport, walking and cycling. We advocate for safe, continuous, and connected active transport routes that will encourage more people to walk and cycle more often.
Our objectives are
- To represent the community’s interest in bicycling in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs
- To advocate for improved cycling conditions to all levels of government
- To increase awareness in the community of the benefits of everyday cycling
- To promote greater use of cycling within the community
