The Sydney metro was originally set to open on Sun 8 Aug, but was postponed to Mon 19 Aug 2024.
We had some time on Sun 25 Aug and managed to check out the Metro – esp the bike parking.
We also checked out Waterloo Metro station and International / Domestic airport link.
How to access NSW bike sheds
Anyone can access Transport for NSW bike parking sheds by creating an account and linking their opal Card at this website – https://bikelocker.transport.nsw.gov.au/. Once this is done, you’ll have access to all NSW bike sheds.
Summary
Sydenham: A good bicycle facility but location is a bit out of the way and not safely accessible by bike.
Bonus points for water fountain.

Cons
A broken door
One of the doors was jammed and couldn’t be opened. We reported the broken door to the station staff, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
