We’re happy to inform that the High St pop-up cycleway is now open!
Transport for NSW worked with Randwick Council to deliver a new temporary pop-up cycleway as part of the NSW Government’s response to COVID-19 to provide safe travel options. This is a key public health measure delivered on the advice of health experts.
BIKEast worked to prioritise and emphasise the importance of this route regularly at Randwick Council’s Cycleways & Bicycle Facilities Advisory Committee with strong ongoing support from UNSW.
It’s fantasatic to see this safe cycling facility finally implemented on the ground, and we hope that with strong community support, it will be implemented permanently eventually. You can provide your support at Transport for NSW’s pop-up transport feedback form.
