On 31 July 2019, we launched our new Cycling Without Age trishaw, the third trishaw in Sydney, thanks to generous community grants from City of Sydney and Woollahra Council.
This launch also signified the formal start of the program in the Sydney / Woollahra area.
BIKEast volunteer pilots were on hand to demonstrate the operation of the trishaw giving rides to a few care home residents.
In addition to the existing programs at IRT Woolwich and Montefiore Randwick, this additional trishaw allows us to bring this project to The Terraces Paddington and other homes soon.
Congratulations to Adrian Boss and the team of volunteers behind this program and thank you everyone who came to celebrate and share this occasion with us!

From today, some of our City’s oldest residents can join in the fun of cycling.
The City and @Woollahramc have worked with Bike East to purchase two large tricycle-rickshaws, which means people of all ages can now enjoy the benefits of our safe separated cycleways. pic.twitter.com/6n8wLTOpMG
