Welcome to the BIKEast list, communicating cycling matters relevant to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Tips: Minimise the risk of distributing viruses by avoiding sending code in email or attachments - e.g. executables, macros and even html. Plain text emails are the best way of eliminating the threat of viruses.
The list server is limited to messages of under 40 KB. Text messages are rarely this long, so this generally only becomes a limitation with file attachments. Please avoid sending attachments to the list if possible. If you can convert the file to text just send it as part of the email, otherwise send them to the BIKEast web manager who can put them on the web site and give you a URL address to send to the list.
If you must send attachments please keep to generic formats such as rich text (RTF) or PDF. Make sure they are attachments, and not inline, as not everyone can decode these.
